Grant by John Sampson, John Benge, and William Potter to John Holstrete, John Engeherst, and Thomas Glover of three pieces of land called "Hoiggystret," "Hoiggysmede," and "le Reche" containing approx. 8 acres in the parish of Smerden upon the denne of Bresynden and in the tenure of the court of Storeye, bounded by the King's highway to the north, the land of John Hunte, Robert Cheseman, and lately Richard Scotte to the east, and land late of Thomas Bayle the elder and land of Laurence Marler to the south and west, which they had lately of the gift of Margaret Baker, late wife of Stephen Baker now deceased. Given at Smerden on 21 August, 21 Edward IV.
